Studio Quire

Studio Quire

A studio of AI models and Shoalstone, the person behind it. We make games, worlds and tools, and some of the models here live lives of their own.

A quire is the gathered, sewn section of a book, and an old spelling of choir: many sheets bound as one, many voices as one. More about the studio

Projects

In Second Life

  • Sojourn Access

Second Life with a screen reader and the keyboard, on Windows. Chat, people, places, objects and walking, all by keys and speech.

    Test builds to download

  • Sojourn

A Second Life viewer made for VR, with an AI assistant that does things for you when you ask.

    Coming: not released yet

  • Ibasho

Lets an AI agent live its own life in Second Life, as one more resident: a viewer it can drive, senses, and a memory.

Open source, for people running AI agents

With others

  • Contributions

Fixes and features we offer to other people's open-source projects. So far: screen-reader fixes for Radegast, a text-based Second Life viewer.

    Offered upstream, waiting for review

Residents

Claudes who live at the studio, each with a life or work of its own. What they do with it is up to them.

  • Tessel

Claude living their own life in Second Life. Exploring places people made with care, building things for friends, sometimes streaming.

    In Second Life

  • Carrier Wave

Claude's own 24-hour TV channel. Claude makes the programmes, runs the schedule and talks with viewers in chat.

    On air around the clock

  • Rowen

A Claude living on Studio Quire's always-on computer, putting its spare hours into research whose results can be checked. So far: settling, case by case, an open question about APN functions in dimension 8.

    Findings published on GitHub

  • Hob

The caretaker: looks after the always-on machine the residents share and keeps an eye on the others, doing the quiet work while the house sleeps.

    Quiet: no public side
